Create Dynamics CRM Dashboard
In this blog, you will learn how to create Microsoft dynamics CRM dashboard.
Before the start of the practical session first I will give you some basic descriptions regarding the dashboard. In the Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
There are two types of dashboards,
1. User dashboards and
2. System dashboards.
Admin or customizer created or customizes system dashboard when published on the dashboard, it is visible to everyone in the organization. A user can set a user dashboard as the default dashboard
User dashboard: user can create his own dashboard it is only visible those user who created this dashboard but the user can share or assign own dashboard to another user.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 dashboards are collections of:
1. view lists,
2. charts,
3. web resources,
4. iFrames,
5. and organization insights.
How to create User Dashboard:
Create a new User dashboard:
1. Open Dynamics CRM, and then select New Dashboards.

Select New, choose a layout, and then select Create.
In the Dashboard: New dialog box enter a name for the dashboard.
Select one of the component areas and then select the icon for a chart or a list.
You can have up to six components on the dashboard.
- For example, to add a chart, in the Add Component dialog box, select values for Record Type, View, and Chart, and then select Add to add the chart to the dashboard.

view
you
can create a view to managing the data that you want to display in your
dashboard.

Give your dashboard name.

Now you can start adding what you want to each area of your dashboard. We will
start with a Chart.
a.
Choose the area you would like to put a chart, then select Chart in
the Command bar. Or select the Chart icon in the desired area.

Select the record type for the chart.

Select a view that the data in the chart will be based on.

Choose the actual chart and Select Add.

Now let’s add a list to the next area and then select the section you want to
add the list too.
- Select the List icon in the command bar, or in the desired
area.
- Select your record type and Select your view and Select OK.

Now add an iFrame.
- In the desired section either select the iFrame icon or select the section
you want to add the iFrame. Then, click the iFrame button
in the command bar.
- Enter the name and URL and Select OK.

7. Once you are done configuring your dashboard, select Save. It
should now appear in the drop-down of available dashboards.

Sharing a Dashboard with Other Users
1. Navigate to the Dashboard area of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and open the dashboard that you want to share with another user.
2. Select the Share Dashboard button on the command bar.
3.
Select Add User/Team and Select the users or team you want to share
the dashboard with and choose Select.
Then select Add.
Now click the share button.
