This blog will cover a basic
understanding of the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.
The Dynamics 365 App for Outlook
will replace the CRM Outlook Client. The outlook client will be depreciated in
the future release. The new name for the Outlook client is "Dynamics 365
for Outlook add-in". Microsoft originally announced that the Outlook
Client was being deprecated and that it would stop being supported in the next
major release. However, this week Microsoft has decided to reverse the
deprecation of Dynamics 365 for Outlook. There will not be new features added
but it will continue to be supported while they continue to work on enhancing
the D365 App for Outlook.

Appointments in Outlook to CDS and associated them with the right records.
2) Synchronize contacts and
related information so that Exchange and CDS are always up to date.
3) The most important interactions with your
customer so you can build strong relationships.
4)Take Microsoft Dynamics 365
App for Outlook with you to any device, you are on, including Outlook Desktop,
Outlook Web Access and Outlook Mobile.
Note "The
security role Dynamics 365 App for Outlook User is available to the
user If a user doesn’t have this security role or its underlying
privileges, they’ll receive the following error: “You haven't been authorized
to use this app. Check with your system administrator to update your settings.”
You can directly edit/add the
record from the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook below image showing the dynamics
365 App for Outlook available to you.
After the click dynamics 365 button The Dynamics 365 pane
appears on the right side of the screen and shows information about the
recipients.
